My MacBook Pro battery went bad and also expanded. I took it to Apple and they told me it would be 700 to repair it. That just didn’t make sense to me to pay that money for a laptop repair. I did some research and did the repair myself with this battery. The battery so far since yesterday has held the charge well. I used it after I put the battery in for about 6 hours no problem and I still had plenty of juice left. Great price and product, highly recommend

This was for a mid 2010 Macbook Pro. It fit perfectly and was easy to install, thanks to the included tools. Some of the screws on a Mac Book are tri-wings, which are similar to phillips heads but have three slots instead of four. Most folks won't have a screwdriver like that in their toolbox unless they've worked on something like this before. There are no useful instructions, but it's pretty easy to figure out. Don't try to remove the clear tab - it's there to make installation easier.

Got a late 2012 MBP that recently had a message of 'Service Recommended" and I noticed that when not charging the battery was being drained a lot quicker than usual. Looked up a replacement battery and glad to find one thats affordable and easy to replace on your own. Yeah you lose warranty but it was way past for me and you don't have to spend hundreds. The kit itself is awesome, 2 screwdrivers (one for outside panel screws, one for battery screws), a scoop to lift the battery connector up, and extra screws for the back panel which is handy if you lose the originals. The battery fits but of course you may have to try a few times to line up the position so the battery screws will tighten correctly. Finally as for the battery itself, it is working perfectly for holding its charge and Mac no longer needs service.

My MacBook Pro (mid-2009) is pretty old so I just assumed that the trackpad was going bad. I ordered a new trackpad and started to replace it when I received it. I removed the battery to replace the trackpad and discovered that the battery was bulging, expanding quite a bit, which was enough to impede the clickability of the trackpad. Needless to say, I had to replace the battery, which can held a great charge,
